NEW YEAR - NEW PLAN

I started this blog a few years ago and have done hardly anything. Every few months I start thinking I need to start a new business, yet nothing ever happens. Here I am again trying to think of something to do, driving my wonderful husband crazy and driving myself crazy as well. I think I need a creative outlet. I'm just going to say it....

I LOVE TO MAKE THINGS!!!

There... I said it. I love to be creative. I love to stamp, make cards, use alcohol ink on things, cut with my new Silhouette Portrait, make ruffle scarves, make Christmas ornaments, make digital photo books on Shutterfly and Snapfish, take photos, design my two daughters birthday invitations and parties.... and the list keeps going on and on.

I can't help myself. My brain just thinks of things constantly. I want to make stuff and share. It makes me excited to complete projects. I will say, I prefer short projects that don't take days, you know, like scrap booking. I have a lot of respect for those of you that love scrap booking and the time it takes to complete one scrapbook. More power to you! I would rather design one card and make a hundred of them.

So, my NEW goal for my OLD blog this year is this... MAKE & SHARE at least once a week. Hopefully with this new goal I can release some of this creative energy and show others some awesome things that they can make as well. I will do my best to show step-by-step instruction when I can. Ask questions if you have any. And together we can make 2014 a very crafty year!

Many Blessings,

It's Been a While

Hello, Friends! I know it has been a while since my last post. I haven't been able to be creative like I would have liked. I've been crazy busy. Hopefully that will change soon. Here are a couple of things I have done this summer though.

First, I made this card for my parents 42nd wedding anniversary. I used my Cricut to cut out the champagne and glasses. It is from the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge. I think it is very elegant.

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!

I also made these Bee cards for my previous co-teacher and very good friend of mine. I made them for her to use with her class this next year. There are 12 all together. I used my Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. I love that one! It is my favorite for right now.

And, next, for my husband's birthday I painted the wall that our bed is on with a glaze. Then I added the phrase, "Always Kiss Me Goodnight" above the headboard. I used my Cricut to cut it out of vinyl. I used the Opposites Attract cartridge for the "Always" and the Cricut Classic Font cartridge for the rest.

I LOVE IT!!!!!

He loves it too. :) This is something we have always lived by, and when I saw it on other walls, I had to have it too. We have been in this house for eight years, and, finally, I got to paint the wall.

So, that is all I have been able to do for a while. I will be making more things soon to decorate my classroom. I will show them off when I get them done.

Blessings!

Big Sis' Card Creation

10-year-old Big Sis has been very creative this weekend, and I just wanted to share one of the cards she made.  She loves making cards and loves using Momma's craft stuff.

Valentine Cards

Here are some Valentine cards I made. They are 4x4 with a fan fold flower and a jewel.  So easy to make!  They say Happy Valentines Day on the front and are blank on the inside.

I just love these! Cute and easy! Hope you had a great Valentines Day!

Fancy Nancy Birthday Party

This past weekend we had a Fancy Nancy themed birthday party for our fabulous (that's a fancy word for wonderful) 5 year old. Everything was pink. Pink plates, pink napkins, pink flowers, pink decorations, pink cupcakes. You get the picture. It was tres chic, darling!

Here are some of the things I made for the party and all the little girls.

And this is the hair bow all the girls received.

My sister helped with the hair bows. She did a great job! We both burned our fingers with the hot glue! Ouch!

They also got a necklace with their name in beads on pink ribbon and a pink and white bead bracelet. All the little girls looked very posh (that's a fancy word for fancy)! We also polished nails pink and read a Fancy Nancy story. We had a great time!

Let me know what you think! If you have any questions on anything, let me know!
